Astra Linux is a Russian Debian-derived Linux operating system developed by Rusbitech to serve as a secure replacement for Microsoft Windows across state, military, and civilian infrastructure.
Initially created to meet the highly classified data protection requirements of the Russian Armed Forces and intelligence agencies, it has expanded heavily into federal state institutions, educational facilities, healthcare providers, and major state-backed corporations like Gazprom, Rosatom, and Russian Railways.
