Give It Time

Remember who you are building for. Understand what they need before deciding what you think they should have. A strong belief can get you started, but you must pay attention when reality shows you something different.

Work with what you have. If something is missing, learn how to make it, find it, or work with someone who can help. Learn from elsewhere, but build the ability to solve problems where you are. You cannot keep waiting for someone else to do what needs to be done.

Having difficulties does not mean something good will come from them. You still have to understand the cause and do something about it. Try. See what happens. Change what does not work. Be patient with learning, but be honest when you are wrong.

You are working with a team. Share the responsibility and trust each other to make decisions. Do not ask people to think for themselves and then expect them to always agree with you.

Your experience can help the work, but your habits can also hold it back. Listen to the people working with you. They may see something you have missed. Having done something longer does not mean you know better every time.

Step away from daily work sometimes. Trust the team to carry their part, and give yourself room to think about yours. Take a walk. Ask whether the work still serves its purpose, or whether you are continuing simply because you have become used to doing it.
